Day 1- We learned about networking. Ms. Holley, a professor at Baruch college, came to talk to us about it. Networking is when you know people that can help you start your business. For example, Zoe knows the CEO of about.com!! This is very helpful because then we can advertise our business on about.com.
We went around the neighborhood and wrote down the types of people that would be visiting our shop, we found that people 26 years+ are our target market. We are now focusing the style of our new espresso bar on those ages.
We chose the name- Espresso Yourself- we chose this name because it sounded good for all ages and it could be put in any design category. We can design the coffee shop in any way. We all agreed to this good name. Some runner ups were Cafein-o Royale, Fill er' up and Black Magic.
